February 2012 – Without electricity, the Netherlands would grind to a halt. Electricity is not only important for our economy; it also keeps our society working as it should. This station regulates the supply of electricity from the north to the west of the Netherlands. The tubes for the pylons went through a Duplex system: hot-dip galvanisation by Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard, followed by a special coating.

October 2011 – Verzinkerij Heerhugowaard has made major investments in its fleet of vehicles. The maximum load capacity of the basic rigs has been increased and the new trailer truck can manage longer lengths. The new trucks also have cranes so that the drivers can unload their cargoes themselves, even at the building site. This means that the trucks can be deployed more flexibly and more efficiently for the transportation of galvanised and powder coated materials on the Duplex Route.
